A few months ago at our Grounded Living class, a fantastic analogy was given to Toy Story Four's "Forky". Grounded Living is a four week class that tackles the thoughts, opinions, and beliefs that you have of yourself. We all struggle with self doubt, insecurities, and many different thoughts about ourselves that are lies and untruths. This class replaces those negative thoughts about yourself and replaces them with what God thinks about you.
It was at the beginning of the third week that a person attending the class referenced "Forky" from Toy Story 4. "Forky" was a craft toy that was created using items that were pulled from the trash can. He explained that even though "Forky" was created from trash and came from trash, he did not have to go back to the trash. He was truly loved by the girl that created him. She did not see him as trash.
He explained the comparison to how he now sees himself. Where he came from does not define who he is. God defines who he is and loves him and sees his value and has a purpose in his life.
It is stories like these that give us all hope. What an amazing example of God's love for us!
