Honi Deaton BIO
I am an accomplished bluegrass and country singer, adept multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who heads the bluegrass supergroup “DreamGrass”. Born in Texas, I first began performing with my vocal/piano instructor mother in her group Soul and Country, which performed at churches throughout the Midwest. Eventually, our family moved to Idaho where I began performing in various high-school musicals as well as DJing at a local radio station. I have performed internationally on some of the biggest stages including “The Grand Ole Opry”. Additionally, I released five commercially produced projects and provided the soundtrack for the movie entitled “Stuck in the Past”. Featured on the cover of the 2004 issue of Bluegrass Now, I have received international success as a singer, songwriter and recording artist, garnering multiple nominations from SPBGMA for “Female Vocalist of the Year” in 2004 & 2005, a nomination from IBMA for “Recorded Event of the Year”, and a 2007 Dove Award Nominee. Now, with a new energy and excitement for my music, I am composing new music and in the studio recording a much anticipated sixth project with a revamped band name, Honi and DreamGrass.
Dr. Roger Hall BIO
We all have gifts. I think it is my responsibility to use mine to build into as many lives as possible in my life, beyond my reach, and beyond my life. I don’t know how to build bridges, I don’t have a whiz bang invention, but I do know how to influence others and change their thinking. Their changed thinking changes their lives. That is my job – by speaking, writing, or coaching.
I got a PhD in Psychology from Ohio State in 1991. I did my predoctoral internship at the University of Utah. I worked at Ball State University in Indiana. I worked part time at a large church in central Ohio while I built my own business. I’ve been self-employed since 1999 and an executive coach since 2002.
I have a wonderful life. I am grateful to have had great parents and a great sister. I’m married to a bright and engaging wife. I have three adult children who are each making their way in the world in creative and interesting work. It’s fun to watch them embrace life.
Love INC would like to thank all of our event sponsors. These people/companies share our heart for impacting lives with love. They have contributed generously to the work of this ministry. Please help us return that support by visiting their business establishments. With their help we are able to dedicate more resources to helping churches help people in need.
